The College owns a number of apartments and houses that are primarily available for rent to employees of the College. The College housing rental program is administered through the Procurement and Payment Services office.
The College recognizes that there are mutual benefits to be served if faculty and employees live near the center of campus life; consequently, it has acquired properties and maintains them to accommodate new employees moving to the Easton area when available. It should be noted, however, that housing is the individual’s and not the College’s responsibility. The rental property department does not assume the responsibility of finding rental units for all new appointees.
Housing is not guaranteed; availability of rental property is on a first-come, first-served basis. When a prospective tenant is interested and notifies our office, a form will be sent to him/her with questions regarding the size of the property needed, number of bedrooms, etc., and the move-in date desired. As property becomes available, the property is offered to the first name on the list if the property fits his/her need.
- All properties are unfurnished.
- All maintenance and repairs for the dwelling are provided by the College.
- Tenants are required to use payroll deduction for their monthly rent.
- A security deposit is required.
Tenants in houses are responsible for all utilities, including trash and snow removal. Heat, water/sewer, and snow removal are included with apartment rentals only.
